Talen Regency NPCs

chainbar

Needless to say, there will be quite a few NPCs the players will come to know and get in contact with. As I flesh them out, you'll probably see them appear here with a short description as to what they are, what they do, and where you'll generally find them in parenthesis. Other pertinent information will be added as needed.

Captain Otter Gormsbee, male human -- (14, 15 & 18) Captain of the Guard around the Universities: He's a little overweight but he has some striking moves, seen basically by senior classmen who get too big for their britches. He's quick to anger, quick to laughter. He doesn't mince words. There is a lot to respect about him, there's also a lot of fear for classmen. He's the one that usually gets students bumped from the University for criminal acts.

Talen Regency Council -- (8) There are presently 44 council members. They meet four times a year. Set prices, attend emergencies, see to the smooth running of the Regency. You'd think with so many, there would be lots of friction and political haggling. This is true to some extent, but the progress, safety and financial success of the Regency is of paramount importance and they all take their jobs seriously. In times of trouble or war, there is the title of Herald of the Regency, who speaks publicly for the Council. There is presently no official Herald.

Brottla, female dwarf  -- (15) Owner of the store "Groceries Galore", most frequented by students for the 6 packs of beer, assorted snacks and otherwise cheap pre-made food.

Britta Greenstove, female halfling -- (17) Owner of the restaurant "Fill It Up", most frequented by students for the outrageously good and inexpensive food, restaurant style.

Ivellior, male elf  -- (11) Owner of the "Laughing Sword", favored student bar

When it comes to the divine arts, the Ancient Cathedral (12) tends to those students' needs.  A variety of beliefs are studied and acquired there by domain.

A subsect of the Ancient Cathedral are Pelor's Sisters of Mercy. They do a great deal of volunteer work, generally running the local hospital and orphanage, also organizing clothes and food drives for the poor
    Sister Dorflum, female dwarf

When it comes ot the druidic arts, the Druidic Tabernacle (4) tends to those students.

Dean Frederick, male human -- (14) Dean of the Stuttgart University

Dean Himolust, male half-elf -- (18) Dean of the Hammerheim University

Master Piotr, male human -- (14) Master of the melee arts for freshmen at the Stuttgart University

Master Arnfinn, male human  -- (18) Master of the spellcasting arts for freshmen at the Hammerheim University

Street People

Agatha Wraith (The Witch, SW area) -- fortune teller and alchemist (whether she is a witch is a matter of debate). People have known her for years and she always looks the same. Old and wrinkled, white hair, boney fingers. She wears shabby clothes and plies her wares for alms at various street corners in the SW area of the Regency.
